Happy Earth Day!

I celebrated Earth Day today by going shopping. lol Let's hope I offset my evil SUV by buying lots of recycled goods! Well, I did buy a few things at Home Goods, but most of what I got was from Good Will. I may be developing an addiction to Good Will. :)

So... on to my finds of the day.

p.s. - I should add that I went out to look for a cheap throw pillow and something else that I've yet to remember (I'm worthless without a list). Meanwhile, I came home nursery, bathroom and big girl room items instead.

I'm using my lovely craigslist trunk to store all the nursery items until we start the room transition. I actually have a couple things in the house that I need to add to the trunk.

Adorable hanging canvas with all sorts of knots and nautical items, for the nursery. $10 at Home Goods.

The other Home Goods finds. A cute nautical lamp for the nursery, an oil lamp for the book shelves and some navy/white burp clothes.

Now on to my Good Will finds for the nursery. Cute little tin (may or may not paint white) and IKEA mirror, which I'll paint white. Both where 99 cents!

Some glass containers... one for my sea glass for the master bath, one for cotton balls or some other toiletry item, and one for the kitchen with the little chalk board label. Cute!!

My sea glass, waiting for a home.... soon to occupy that cute little vase.

And check this out! This was $25 at Good Will. It's actually really cute the way it is, but close up it's really pretty banged up AND it smells. Ew. I think it's cat pee. Sooo.... it needs a serious cleaning (I only did a quick surface clean) and then I'm going to sand it, prime and paint it. I may try and salvage the monkey/elephant on the seats... they're so darn cute. It will be perfect for McKenna's big girl room. I'm really psyched about this one.

Melissa, you have a GREAT eye for things! I need to take you bargain shopping with me. I love to decorate, but have NO eye for how things could look.

I love all of you finds. Your kids are definitely going to have the coolest rooms!
