Life In The Valley Of The Sun: Late August/Early September

Each year I look forward to our monsoon season since it's really the only time of the year that we get any weather other than pure sunshine! We get some great thunderstorms with lots of wind and serious downpours. It's great! Well, this years' monsoon season has sucked. We've had about 2 storms total. I was so excited to get some rain the other day that I took some video of the rain. Don't mind the empty Huggies box I had just put out that morning to take to the recycling bin. :)

Well, I think I'm just going to have to accept the fact that I may not be able to update this blog on a daily/weekly basis like I would like to. I take SO many pictures (just ask Craig! lol) and so often I think "Oooh, this will be great for my blog" but then I never get around to actually posting them. *sigh* Some day. Until then.... here is, yet another, bulk update of the past several weeks' happenings.

She had just been standing while supporting herself on her new activity table I had just set up. Daddy picked her up and she just had this super-wide open mouth expression. She stayed that way a good couple minutes, that's why Craig is laughing so hard.

Sept 10th... McKenna pulled herself up for the very first time all by herself. She was quite pleased with herself. :)

I thought this one was so cute because Koal was sitting there so majestically and McKenna was looking up at him with complete awe. I later noticed that the coaster on the table looks like a little halo over McKenna's head. lol

She kept crawling over to the coffee table and chewing on the edge!

I would say "McKenna, no-no" and she would stop and look at me for a second and then go right back to what she was doing. lol Notice the slight motion blur? That's her turning her head back to chew on the table some more.

We took a trip to Costco.

The puppies got new beds during our trip to Costco. The love them!!

I walked past this while at Costco and couldn't believe my eyes! I had to snap a picture. What moron came up with this ad campaign?

I couldn't get over this couch for $350!! I love it. I'd love to have it in our family room.
