We spent the better part of this, as like every other, week indoors. But this week it worked to our advantage since all that was in the news was talk about the Swine Flu. Thankfully it seems to be a mild flu and no more dangerous than the standard flu. So, with the recent developments, I'm hoping that McKenna and I can make a trip back East. I was really hoping to get home during this one week in particular (to see the Blue Angels and the Blues Festival with Queenie), but I'm think I've missed my 2 week window and the airfare will have gone up. I'm going to check the fares tonight. Who knows, maybe with the Swine Flu scare their business is down and so are their rates!
Then the dilema becomes... do I travel with the car seat base, or without... do I buy an extra seat (yes) or do I hold her the whole time... what happens if I have to pee during the flight, I sure don't intend to ask some stranger to "keep an eye on her"... that just seems weird (although likely perfectly harmless). How exactly do you go through security with a baby? I'll be by myself so I guess they have to let me carry her through, right? Does she have to take her shoes off? ;-) Seriously, I am nervous about making the trip (and 5 hour flight!) all by myself. But I know we can do it and it will be just fine. I just have to accept that there is a chance she may cry on the flight and if so, people will just have to deal.
Here are some pics from the past week or so.

Testing out the "Bebe Pod"... she can sit up for a bit, but eventually slumps over.

Spending some time with Bunny while Mommy puts the newly "girlified" canvases back on the wall.

Passed out after a good meal. ;-)

Speaking of good meals.... Kirkland's (Costco) Martha Stewart Olive Bruschetta. It is to die for!

Yummmmm

I just love my changing table!

These are both size "3 mo"... WTH? I guess baby girls should suffer no less than grown up girls, huh?

The end result of tummy time.... every time. And this was after several minutes of me holding her and giving her loves. I was taking a picture to send Daddy in response to his text saying "Hi, how's your day?"

Play time with Mommy in the nursery

I'm just chillin'

The "Sleepy Wrap" living up to its name.

Our new daybed for the patio. It's in a spot that gets shade for most of the day. Now McKenna and I have a nice spot to enjoy some time outside in the morning, before it's hotter than hell outside.

Testing out the new daybed.

I think I like it Mommy.

Mommy & McKenna on the daybed.

Mommy & McKenna... but now you can actually see the daybed. ;-)

What are these things? I think I can lift them... Hmm, maybe one day I'll put them in my mouth!

Watching "Ice Age"... and even giggling at the pictures. She's so cute.
