Things are going well and Miss McKenna just continues to grow and get cuter by the minute! My Dad & Jill were able to come to town recently to meet McKenna for the first time. Well, Dad was here for the marathon labor, but he only got to see McKenna for a split second before he had to head back home. So this was his first chance to hold her and spend any real time with her. Dad & Jill babysat while we went out to a movie & dinner. That was the plan anyway. I had to come back home and see her before we went to dinner (it was my first time away from her for any long period of time!) and then we waiting on a table at the restaurant for over an hour before we finally gave up and came home...without dinner. It was still nice to spend some time together and enjoy a cocktail.
This past weekend Dottie & Jay dropped by on their way back through town from FL. On Sunday we decided to venture out and try the new metro system. We took the metro downtown and had lunch at a cute little place called the "Fair Trade Cafe". McKenna did great... she slept most of the time, with a few meals in between. :) I only managed to snap one pic during their visit. More pics next time.
McKenna & I went on our first trip to a park on St Patrick's Day. (Neither of us dressed in green...shame on us!) There is a local forum (online) called "Phoenix Mommies" and they have events for families, and "mom's night out" events. This was my first event. I figured it couldn't hurt to meet some local Moms. It was ok. I didn't necessarily hit it off with anyone, but everyone was very nice and it was nice to get out of the house for a while.
Here are some recent pics....

Tummy time!

I swear I had the bottle in my hand and she had it within seconds... I just couldn't resist the fussy face with the "Got Milk?" bib. lol
