I ran 4 miles today!

My longest run yet.  At least now I'm confident that I can actually run the entire race (4.2 mi) coming up next month.  I got to run with my new Garmin for the first time today.  (Click the link below to see how it logs all the info from my run.  Pretty cool.)  What a giant PITA to get set up.  I had so many issues trying to pair devices and transfer data.  Argh!  Hopefully, now that it's done, I won't have these same issues all the time.

I'm pretty excited because I really felt great on my run today.  I never had that feeling of struggling to keep going.  The worst thing I felt was fatigue and soreness in my legs.  I did have some soreness in my knees, which worries me a little.  I really don't want to end up sidelined by my jacked up knees, especially after really feeling like I'm starting to hit my stride with running.

My hairdresser told me about a new book called Marathoning For Mortals.  I'm going to wait until I've actually read the entire book to say for sure (I just started last night), but I'm seriously considering training for a 1/2 marathon sometime in the near future.  Just hearing myself "say" that sounds insane.  lol

Oh, and I love my GoRun shoes so much that I had to get the greens ones too. ;). I wore them for the first time this morning... St. Patty's Day. Perfect.
