I've got the craft bug again!

Not just crafts, but the desire to do projects around the house that have been on the back burner forever!  I feel those creative juices flowing again and that makes me very happy.

We've had McKenna's closet "prepped" for chalkboard paint since we originally painted her room when I was pregnant!!  I figured it was time, so Tuesday morning while she was at school I painted her closet doors.

Even with all the prep, I'll have to do some touch-up paint on the white sections of the closet. :-/

I went to IKEA to buy the rug that I've been in love with for months now (I guess it's been longer than that), but they no longer carry the color.  Ugh!  So I went with this grass green instead.  It's only slightly darker than the original and a sort of patch of grass was what I was going for anyway... so it works.

Checking out the new rug before nap time.

Also picked up this cute little chair pad for the rocking chair that our neighbors gave us for McKenna.

I also added a new lamp on top of her bookshelf ... I really like the much softer light in her room at night now.  (Sorry... blurry pic.  One day I'll actually read the manual on my camera and learn how to use it.)

That giant leaf is a canopy I picked up at IKEA.  I'm thinking of putting it up over her crib, but I'm not in love with it just yet.

Added a decal to her little step-stool.

Ahhhh..... new, organized tupperware!!  I used some old bins to create storage for lids.  (Still on a high from my chalkboard paint... I decided to add "labels")  I got two sets of containers from IKEA for a whopping $8.  I love that place.

Good riddance!!  Into the recycling bin they all go.
