Big Girl Room Shoppin'

We went to IKEA today to pick up some curtains and a few other items for McKenna's new room. Even though we won't likely be able to get her moved before the baby arrives. We're going to have to do some rearranging in the meantime... bring the rocker into the master bedroom and perhaps the pack-n-play with the bassinet attachment for middle of the night diaper changes. We'll make it work.

Anyway, we found some really cute stuff for McKenna's room. The curtains she has now aren't going to work in her new room, so I needed to find a new set that would still work with her other decor. I think it's going to look really cute in there when we get her moved over. Now I just need to settle on a paint color. I was thinking pale pink, but I'm wondering if a pale lavender might be cute. The walls are currently a sort of light khaki color. Hmmmm, may be time for some paint chips.

So here are some pics of what we got today and what we've already got to work with...

We did not buy this, but I love this green rug and think it could look really cute in there. Not sure it's big enough though. Waiting on this one.

These are all the items already in her room...

(Pardon the dust! I know what I'll be doing tomorrow. lol)

Not sure this will stay around or not. I think I'll have to see this lamp in the room. I already have a cream chandelier that will be in the center of the room (if McKenna is willing to part with her ceiling fan!) and a small lamp that matches the new curtains.

We also have the matching crib. Thank you Ben & Tracey! ;)

This was bought with the intention of going in her new room too. We'll see how it works and whether it might need to be painted, or to stay outside. Even though I wiped it down the day I bought it, it's pretty gnarly and it serious need of more cleaning. (It was a goodwill purchase and I think it lived in someone's basement or garage for quite some time)
