Today started with a quick little project, spray painting a vase. I have about 6 of these things saved from random flower deliveries over the past several years and I finally decided that either they're all going in the recycling bin, or I'm going to try and do something creative with them. So I figured I start VERY simple and hope some creative juices start flowing.
I decided to start with the pink vase and use the left over glossy black spray paint left over from the mirror and shelf/towel rack.

A coat of primer.

Not my brightest moment... I tilted the vase, sprayed the bottom and then placed it back on the box with the wet paint on the bottom.

I discovered another use for a can of primer. :)

I thought I would leave the inside pink as a little unexpected something.

The finished product... still sitting on newspaper, just in case.
(Don't mind the cluster of candles... we just sort of shoved all of the ones we didn't have a place for up on this shelf. It's on my to-do list.)

I also set up McKenna's new water table while she was napping.

Thankfully we had the pool guys coming out today to do a one time cleaning for us. This way it will be manageable for me to keep up with over the summer.
Look at all those leaves!

This project will have to wait until Daddy is back in town. McKenna's very own swing!

Once she woke up, we put on her new flip flops to test them out. Training for our Encinitas trip in June!

Check out the big girl eating the sandwich all my herself. No more baby pieces for this girl!

Yay!! The pool guys are here to clean the pool.

Outside we go... Time to check out that new water table!

Stopping to watch a helicopter fly over.

A clean pool!! Now we just need to the water to warm up a bit.
(It was really clean until all the crap from the leaf blower blew into the pool. Ugh. Oh well.)

And for the happiest moment today... my very last heparin injection!! Thank goodness. As my belly has gotten bigger and I bump into more things, these bruises have become quite annoying.
Lovely, huh? Bye bye bruises.
