How Could I Forget!?

As many have reminded me (and I totally agree), all that matters is that McKenna is home and we're both healthy and happy. I just realized thought that I completely forgot to post one major detail. lol. During that first rounf of Pit, I was supposed to have my water broken. The next AM when they started me on my 2nd round, etc my DH requested a call from my OB because he wanted some explanation as to why things had taken the course they had thus far. Come to find out that my OB was pissed that my water wasn't broken the previous night during my first round of Pit, as these were the orders he gave to the Resident on duty. Well the Resident decided he "wasn't comfortable" with breaking my water (risk of prolapse, I think?) and so just chose not to do it. He never contacted my OB or the chief resident to express his concerns, he just decided not to follow the orders he was given. So my OB calls the next AM to check in, only to find out that my water was never broken and I had simply maxed out on Pit with no progress. Needless to say, when I saw that guy later on the post partum floor, it took everything I had not to walk over and slap him right in the mouth. Nice, huh?
