So, some kinda big news; we finally decided on a name today... (drum roll please) ... McKenna.
I think it’s the name that Craig has liked all along. After all, It was his contribution to the name list. I’ve liked it form the beginning too, but wanted to feel like I had explored ALL other options first. So anyway… we are going to name our little girl McKenna. Yay! It’s so nice to be able to call her by her name instead of "her", "she", or "the baby".
So, part of what I picked up at Michael’s this weekend was wooden letters to paint and hang on the wall in the nursery. Here are the projects I've got lined up for the nursery. The letters will be painted in that Grenadine (dark salmon color pink) color that I originally intended to paint the nursery. I'm going to put thin ribbon all along the outside edges... so the sides that you don't see looking at the letters straight on, but only from the side. I included a photo of the ribbon I'm going to use. I'm going to alternate between all of the patterns. That is, of course, if it doesn't look like total crap placed along the edges. :)

I also bought a frame... not sure if I'll paint it white or the grenadine color as well or maybe even stain them. Either way, I'll use these cute little stickers to personalize the frame. Don't really have a plan yet, but will figure it out as I go.

Lastly, I bought ribbon to hang the Amy Coe prints that I want to use in the nursery. I was worried that the brown/white in the paintings would look a bit too boyish on the green walls. So... these are the ribbons I picked up. However, a friend pointed out to me that a solid colored ribbon would probably looked best considering the prints have a lot goin' on. Duh. For whatever reason, that never even crossed my mind. I'm going to blame that on "pregnancy brain". ;) I plan to take these back and go with a bright pink/salmon color ribbon.

I spent all day today doing laundry! All the baby clothes are washed, bedding, changing pads, boppy covers, swing/bouncy covers, you name it.... I washed it. All that collecting, washing & folding wore me out. Nothing a nice hour long nap on the couch couldn't fix.
